What we collect
- Trip-planning requests. When you use the concierge form we store what you submit: your email, name, destinations, travel dates, group size, and any notes — so we can reply with a plan.
- Email signups. If you request the packing checklist or subscribe to updates, we store your email address and which form you used.
- Usage analytics (only with your consent).If you accept cookies, we use an analytics tool to understand which pages help travelers and which don't. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set.
- Technical basics. Our servers process IP addresses transiently for security (e.g. rate-limiting form abuse). We do not build profiles from them.
What we use it for
- Answering your trip-planning request (that's the whole point).
- Sending you the specific thing you asked for (e.g. the packing checklist).
- Improving the guide based on aggregate, anonymized usage.
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising.
Who else touches your data
We rely on a small set of service providers to run the site: hosting, database, email delivery, and (consent-gated) analytics. Each processes data only on our instructions. Outbound booking links go to partners (e.g. booking platforms, tour operators) — once you leave our site, their privacy policies apply.
Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies (session, preferences, your consent choice itself) are always on. Analytics cookies are set only after you click "Accept" in the consent banner. You can change your mind anytime by clearing the site's cookies in your browser.
Retention
Trip requests and signups are kept while we operate the service so we can follow up and avoid re-asking you for the same information. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@planpatagonia.comand we'll handle it — no forms, no friction.
